Dazed (Digital) March Playlist
One of the only three magazines I bother reading pretty much, cover to cover these days, have a monthly virtual tape of diverse, fine musical selections each month. Impeccable from start to finish – March sees Dazed hip us to fresh tunes from Raekwon, We Fell To Earth, Golden Silvers, Poni Hoax and many more.
Speaking of Londoners The Golden Silvers, their debut LP “True Romance" is out on the 27th of next month, through XL Records. I am eagerly awaiting this release. Their sound is a chilled out eighties influenced, original body shaking slice of British boogie party mischief.
Here is the video for “True Romance (True No.9 Blues)” – so cool!

Diamond D speaks:
Yesterday after not checking email or going near a computer for three whole days (a record looking back at the last few years), I wake up with a unreleased Top Choice Clique track (which i'll throw up shortly), in the Inbox. Today it's an interview with legendary producer and emcee Diamond D (Co founder of supergroup D.I.T.C.).
Having posted another video, I remember when magazines, radio, the brief clip on TV and overseas contacts were the only point of information, broadcast for Rap releases and artist interviews. We all take this technology for granted nowadays.
Diamond's The Hugh Hefner Chronicles drops on the 14th on Babygrande records and I'm counting down the days.

Need Another Drink
The Ritz's The Night Of Day is an intriguing listen. Liking what I hear. The Ritz are made up of Apoc and Rel. Expect an array of head-nod, attention catching classical, 1940’s, 1950’s film noir inspired musical landscapes littered with a diverse range of tales from a range of motley characters and recollections of the environments they inhabit within the American underworld.
