Accelerated Funk Assault Style

Okay, so I just got the go ahead from the good folks at On The Fly to give away a double pass to DJ Assault's Sydney show. Now because the gig is soon, the first person to tell me from where Assault hails and what kind of music he's known for making, gets the tickets (your name will be on the door).

Detroit's DJ Assault aka Craig Diamonds "The Street Narrator" is in Sydney this Saturday evening for one exxxclusive show of deejaying and emceeing (see flyer above). This is gonna be one Wild, Crazy, Awesome party. If you are in Sydney, definitely come check it out.

Assault has been holding it down on the wheels of steel since ’82. Making beats since ’95, he has produced and released a massive array of some of the most revered booty bass wmd's, on his own Jefferson Ave and Assault Rifle records. His music has also been published on renowned Detroit labels such as Databass, Touchin' Bass, Electrofunk and Dirty Muzik. A number of Assault's tracks have gained wider exposure during the last five years through their use in a variety of films, television programs, commercials as diverse as 13, the Dave Chapelle Show and a Hewitt Packard iPod advertisement.

Marc Hype & Jim Dunloop (Germany) - Sydney show

Another show worth checking out that's gonna go off. Marc Hype will be on the turntables, with Jim Dunloop on the piano. Responsible for some of the illest, drum-heavy b-boy funk productions of the last few years (on both the Milk Crate Records and Melting Pot Music labels), they're performing in Sydney as part of the extensive line up (including special guest DJ Frequento (Sydney/Germany) and some of the hardest working, party rocking, skilled deejays down under) for the second birthday of the 'Dusttones' party.

Presales available @ in the mix
