Joe Zawinul (visionary keyboardist, founder of the groundbreaking jazz fusion group the Weather Report & leader of The Zawinul Syndicate, with whom he toured for the last twenty years), passed away last Tuesday, aged 75. He had been suffering from a rare form of skin cancer.
