Licorice jewels aplenty

Listening to Droppin' Science on 2SER 107.3 with DJ's Dr Phibes, Blaze & Jade Nemesis was a weekly event during the years 2000-2005, (the program's now on Friday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30pm, with your hosts DJ Lo-D, Jade Nemesis & Chris G).

It was Blaze's sets on Monday nights (when the program used to run from 10:30pm - 1am) that really caught my ear. Very rarely pressing pause, I used to let the tape run for the whole duration of the mix during these often unintentional Hip Hop history lessons. There were so many dope songs from an array of artists (some who released one 12 - others who were still putting out records) that I first discovered / heard during that hour of the program..... groups / solosists including Jamalski, TDS Mob, Brother D, Quinton, Gucci Crew, Kings of Pressure, Audio Two, Dark Sun Riders, Tommy Tee, Kombo (see below), AKA Brothers, Killa Instinct, to name a few.
