Above the clouds

This is a Monday audio drop of a bunch of fresh tunes from all over the place which you'll hopefully dig.

Sir Smurf Lil' Listen (left click DivShare), purchase this at iTunes

An awesome, meandering, harmonious, jazz influenced track produced by Jehst from his project "Underworld Epics", which dropped in 2006.

DJ Honda ft. Problemz Around the Clock (left click DivShare) , purchase this at iTunes

Fresh Hip Hop track from the producers 1998 "H II" LP in which the BK rhymer Problemz spits lyrics that match the intense yet sparse atmosphere of the arrangement created by Honda's murky, slightly discordant production.

Faure Pavane Op. 50, (left click DivShare) purchase this at iTunes

Classical is a genre that is very hard to get your head around (unless it's what you're into), anyhow I dig this version of Faure's arrangement....but I'll leave all things Classical to the excellent Call Me Classical blog, I've just got one thing to say in relation to the track above, recognise the sample in the beginning of the track?

Cherry Ghost Dead Man's Suit (left click DivShare), purchase this at iTunes

"Dead Man's Suit" is a great, dark, intoxicating tune that would sound best in headphones accompanied by a glass of good red and a cuban, it's off Cherry Ghost's 2007 "Thirst For Romance" LP.

Virtuoso Dream In (left click DivShare), purchase this at iTunes

An eye opening track from Virtuoso's 2005 LP "WWII:Evolution of the Torturer", that deals with some of the realities of day to day living.

Lloyd & Devon Push Push (left click DivShare), purchase this at Soul Jazz Records

A dancehall rocking classic that was more recently brought to light again on the great "Studio One Disco Mix" release.
